Many clients ask us what symbols they should be using to mark up their corrections on proofs.
Below is a short guide showing how to do it in a standard fashion using proofreaders' marks that will be recognised and understood by designers and typesetters.
The left hand page shows a few paragraphs that have been corrected. On the right hand side is an explanation of the symbols and how to use them.
Having read the guide, if you retain only one thing, then remember to mark your corrections in the margin rather than amongst the text.
